Hutspot

Hutspot is a curator for an urbanized lifestyle. An initiative that brings all the good stuff together.

Founded to provide a platform for creativity that enables ideas, products and people to become easily accessible for a mass audience. From a supermarket of design, fashion, beauty, foodies and workshops in the Hutspot store, drinks and get-togethers in the Hutspot Bar, all the way to a flexible office space

Founded by three youngsters in the summer of 2012, Hutspot started as a small pop-up store in the Utrechtsestraat. This Amsterdam based concept offers a unique shopping experience, with extensive possibilities for brands and products.

After opening the first official department at van Woustraat, the list of people that were eager to fill the shelves was reason enough to think about expanding. A logical next step was the founding of a second store at Rozengracht in 2013.

This is how it works. Hutspot searches for new and interesting brands, designers, artists and entrepreneurs, offering them the chance to expose their products in their own space within the shops. Open to new approaches, Hutspot is always on the lookout for unique products that have been created with care. In exchange for a small service fee and a commission over the sold products, the gents make sure all is in good hands. Everything in the shops is for sale. Except of course for Gumbo, the dog.

Hutspot continuously tries to improve their concept. From hosting cute little children’s cooking classes at the Van Woustraat department (what a mess they make), to spring time barbeque sessions in the leafy garden at Rozengracht. So don’t be shy to send in your ideas. If they like it, they do it.

Hutspot hopes you will all continue to follow this adventure in your own way. The stores are open 7 days a week, all year long. Probably on the day you’ll be reading this small piece, the crew is working hard on fine-tuning your shopping experience.

The staff strives to adopt new trends on an early basis, trying to stay one step ahead of the rest.
